PUPPY SOCIALIZATION AND OBEDIENCE

Dates: Nov. 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and Dec. 1

In this class, you will learn how to safely socialize your puppy with other puppies, in a supervised and controlled environment.  We will begin introducing your puppy to novel sounds and objects, that it will likely encounter throughout it’s life, such as vacuum cleaners and blow dryers.  We will also be doing beginning balance and coordination work, so that your puppy can begin developing/fine-tuning it’s motor skills and strengthening it’s core muscles, which can help prevent injury, especially for sport dog prospects.  Finally, we will begin basic obedience skills, such as name recognition, attention, recall, sit, down, wait, and loose lead walking.  We will be using a variety of positive reinforcement training techniques, such as mark and reward and lure and reward.
