No, no, no -- Claudia, you're totally right. I'm ONLY speaking about the solo use dog parks on the right side of the driveway if you're entering the shelter campus. The other dog will ALWAYS be a community park and has to be self-governing as a resu…

Julian Martinez: Gabrielle Amster's son, animal lover, artist, musician, gardener.

Dear friends of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society:

Our development director, Gabrielle Amster, lost her oldest son, Julian, in a car accident Sunday morning. Her family is grieving their loss, and we as an organization wish to respect the privacy she has asked for at this time.

We have taken groceries to her house and will continue to collect for a fund to support her and her family. We have set up an account at New Mexico Bank & Trust for contributions. The account i… Continue

Thanks for the add. Hope your foot is healing nicely. And I loooove your pug, he looks like he has such personality, Chloe looks like a sweetie.
Learning to live with the changes a geriatric pet goes through can be interesting to say the least. :)

Bill, I was out hiking this morning and ran in to two people hiking. They were foster parents for two puppies from the shelter. The youngest puppy had not had all of its shots. Are foster parents not educated about Parvo??????? I was horrified. I was out with my young puppy who has had all of her shots. The foster parents were ill mannered when I let them know this was a hazzard not only to the puppies they had with them but our entire community of dogs. I am horrified that the shelter allows this to happen. Susan
