URGENT - Help Needed

FELINES & FRIENDS NEW MEXICO is in urgent need of reliable people to clean our Adoption Center at Petco on Cerrillos Rd. Each Sunday at 4pm the cats who have been at the center for a week return to their foster homes and a thorough cleaning/sterilization begins. We are in need of people willing to be a part of a two or three person team and can commit to 4pm - 7pm one Sunday per month. New Adoption Location!

Eldorado Animal Clinic is now an adoption location for Felines & Friends.    A playpen cage has been set up in the lobby and the first occupant awaiting adoption is NIKKI, a healthy 12 year old declawed Turkish Angora.   NIKKI is used to living with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.If you are interested in meeting NIKKI, please visit her at the clinic during regular business hours.…See More

Foster Homes Needed for Nursing Moms and their Litters

"Kitten Season" has started and we are receiving calls almost daily for help with cats who have just delivered a litter of kittens.   We can provide food for the cats and a spacious playpen to house the families.    The time commitment averages 6 weeks and we will need foster homes throughout the summer starting now as we already have three nursing moms in our care.Fostering a family of cats in need is rewarding as you get to enjoy watching the kittens grow and develop individual…See More

What kind of pet do you have and what's his or her name?
2 Cats. Sabrina & Lara rescued from the streets of Los Angeles. Rocky went to the Rainbow Bridge on July 2, 2009 despite being in remission from cancer; he was also FIV+. In addition I am the Executive Director of Felines & Friends New Mexico, a second-chance rescue and placement non-profit organization serving Santa Fe County and beyond.

Transport Needed from Knoxville, TN

Felines & Friends recevied a call yesterday from the Young-Williams Animal Center that a cat originally adopted from us was surrendered by a family member.     Given that they are not currently overwhelmed with cats, we have agreed to let them make "Regan" available for adoption.  

However, this is NOT a guaranteed placement shelter, so we need to arrange tranport in case she is not adopted this weekend.

Midge Needs a Home

Midge is a sweet little shorthaired tortie who was transferred to Felines & Friends after she tested FIV+ which may be a result of a recent vaccination.    She is healthy and robust and may live a normal lifespan with someone willing to add L-Lysine daily to high quality canned food.

I just sent this contest info out to LOTS of people plus I posted it here...are you aware Felines and Friends is an option to vote on? The winner gets a chunk of money but they also give random weekly money to shelters/rescue groups like yours! You may want to send this to YOUR contacts as well, you never know! :) Keep up the good work! I went to Petco yesterday and looked at the adoption area, looks wonderful!
