A measure introduced by U.S. Representative Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich) aims to make pet care expenses tax-deductible, The Michigan Messenger reports.
Introduced on July 31, HR 3501, commonly referred to as the Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years or HAPPY Act, would amend the IRS code to allow an individual to deduct up to $3500 in a taxable year for qualified pet care expenses.

- Hi Cathy,
I just got a call from a gentleman looking for a sitter for July 6-10 in his home. He said he’s in the south part of Santa Fe, off the interstate near Rabbit Road. I didn’t get into any details about # of pets, my fees, etc. I’m not available these dates. Let me know ASAP if this is of interest to you and I’ll provide his information.

- I've invited about 10 people to join in. This will be the beginning of the group. Where and when would you like to meet? Weekday? Afternoon?Meet over lunch? meet in a sitter's home? My home is in Eldorado. Maybe Harry's or Real Burger would be 1/2 way for all of us. Right now I'm just gathering information from everyone. Tell me what you think.

I live in Eldorado and work with other local people to network and learn from each other about interesting or uncomfortable situations and to refer to each other when we're too busy or the area is too far to travel to. Could you make yourself available one day a month to meet?
