Hi Shari,

I do not relocate venomous snakes but she can call Tom Wyant at 672-1981 and ask him for the people in her area that do rescue. Tom has a network though the Espanola Wildlife Center that will rescue. We are still doing our free educational snake programs. I have 3 in May for the SF libraries and one in June for Kirkland Air Force Base Library. I had to turn a way a few organizations because we can only travel an hour or 2 with a snake filled car.

I'm sorry I have not gotten back to you. I did check out the link and it was not my Ricochet. Thank you for looking, I would like to have him back some day.

Hi Shari,

Thanks for the welcome. Learned about this vet from Craig's list before the posts were taken off. Yes, for all the good that it does, I am still trying to educate people about snakes. We do about one free educational program  a month. We really aren't in demand. I am not sure what people expect for free but I bring about 8-9 different kinds of snakes that you can find around NM. I talk to Jo and Laura Swaltz a couple of times a month and they are busy with the birds, of course. Hope all is well with you:)

If you have your dogs in the car during a traffic stop..

Having seen videos in the past on television of dogs killed by police officers during traffic stops, I asked the instructor of a class for the Santa Fe Citizens' Police Academy what to do in this situation.

Circumstances can vary, but remain still in the vehicle until the officer approaches/contacts you. If the dog(s) is crated, there should not be an issue. If not, ask the officer if you can restrain or otherwise control your dog. Depending on the dog's…
