Advice on how to prevent the local shelter in Pa from euthenizing animals in 48 hours of arrival to the shelter!!! Please help!

need advice as to what I can do to prevent the local SPCA from euthenizing animals in 48 hours from the time they arrive from the local dog catcher etc. I have a friend who was out of town when there dog got out of the yard of the person caring for the dog. They immediately contacted the authorities about the dogs disappearance, in hopes of finding him. They also called the SPCA and they stated they didn't have a dog of the description given. Gingers Phenobarbital Toxicity

Thank You so very much for all the prayers for Ginger!! I am very greatful for them. Ginger is home from the hospital, it has been a long road. She has been on Phenobarbital since the end of December and on February 21st, she became extremly sick, vomiting,diarrhea , urinating tinged with blood and fever. Our vet immediatley sent us to our local Emergency Animal Hospital after examining Ginger.
