Puppy Fosters Desperately Needed for Las Vegas Dogs

Please,Please, if anyone can open your home and your heart, Tina Holguin needs foster homes immediately. Puppy transport did not go to Colorado this weekend because of 4th of July holiday, no adoptions were planned. LV Shelter and the few fosters we have in LV are stuffed. Puppies are in danger. Transport resumes next Wednesday. Not a long time to foster. Your help will save their new and precious puppy lives. I want to begin by thanking every person who has helped with Maeve's veterinary bills. I do not have everybody's address. However, I have been carrying around thank you cards, with messages written, for over a month for all addresses I do have. Forgive me, all has been very hectic. I will mail the notes this weekend. Let's see if we can get enough people pestering the city there to change some things. Cindy, Not sure how this blogging works...May have sent this comment....It costs nothing when you take a dog or ca from LV shelter to foster under one of the 501cs that work with shelter. Procedure is: call me (for now) 505 426-8203, come out to see dogs with one of your dogs (the most discerning pack leader), meet and greet on front lawn of shelter with as many candidates as you like, choose your foster, sign out lucky freed soul under a rescue organization. I will post and screen potential adopters. Also fosters go to adoption events in Rio Rancho and Santa Fe with us. Time is always of the essence with these precarious lives. However, there are always new dogs, caught on streets and county, interred on shelter. In Peace, Maureen

Maureen, what does it take to be a foster?? is there an 'adoption/foster' fee? I am very cash limited but willing to consider opening my home to the right foster. It would have to be a dog friendly dog (I have 3 of my own) and very bonded to person (I have no fenced yard but my dogs go to work with me every day - they are pretty much with me 24/7).
