A chihuaha or chihuaha mix has been spotted on our block several times over the past week. He (or she- can't get close enough to tell) is running around the street and going into back yards at all times of the day. The dog is brown and white and very skittish (won't let us near him). We don't know if he is lost or just keeps getting out of his yard. He is not wearing a collar. The neighborhood is the Via Caballero circle off Rodeo Road.
As I make my way forward, early in the day, I turn from Airport Road onto 599, heading North....
December I noticed the Coyote body. It would greet me after the 2nd 55-mile per hour speed limit sign, but before mile-marker 5 and 4-times I called the dispatch over a 3-month period to try and get someone to pick it up. Finally, I called the Assemblyman's office for my district, and the young woman who mans the phones got it taken care of in one-day. They found two bodies, one more…Continue

Greetings to all animal lovers
I have a feral cat in my neighborhood that needs some medical attention. I have been feeding him for the past 18 months and still can not get close to him. I read an article on the scoop page of the New Mexican a while back about a group that would pick up strays for neutering. Does anyone have an info how I can contact these people? I have named the cat Sandy. He is a very sweet cat that actually gets along w/ my 2 cats. Just very…Continue

Thank you for your diligence in keeping a look out for Pepper. As many of you know, he no longer has his leash but is still wearing his blue harness. We think he's been racing around the arroyo off West Alameda, onto Osage Street and running out to St. Mike's occasionally. He has been seen with canine buddies.
The latest sighting was from this morning (Feb. 6) off Agua Fria on Vuelta San Marcos. A woman has been feeding him and is trying to gain his trust. We are…Continue
