FOUND: young female Malamute or Siberian Husky

Very sweet young dog has been running loose in the La Cueva area of Glorieta.  She is a either a Malamute or Siberian Husky (possibly a cross).

Black with white markings and blue eyes.  We are taking her to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter on Monday 4/1 where the owner can find and claim her.  Hoping she is micro-chipped --- collar but no tags.

Transport Needed from Knoxville, TN

Felines & Friends recevied a call yesterday from the Young-Williams Animal Center that a cat originally adopted from us was surrendered by a family member.     Given that they are not currently overwhelmed with cats, we have agreed to let them make "Regan" available for adoption.

However, this is NOT a guaranteed placement shelter, so we need to arrange tranport in case she is not adopted this weekend.

If you know anyone who lives in the Knoxville area or who travels…

Midge Needs a Home

Midge is a sweet little shorthaired tortie who was transferred to Felines & Friends after she tested FIV+ which may be a result of a recent vaccination.    She is healthy and robust and may live a normal lifespan with someone willing to add L-Lysine daily to high quality canned food.

If you would like to meet Midge, she is currently living at Teca Tu in Sanbusco Market Center.  …

A Dog For Santa Fe!

Ace is an 8-month old, male, Golden Retriever, with a winning personality!  This young dog got out of his yard and was hit by a car.  Unfortunately, his owner was unable to meet the costs of a broken pelvis and signed him over to one of our local vets.  With assistance from our local orthopedic specialist and the great care with the facility he is at now, this boy will be ready for adoption in 2-3 weeks.  Please contact the kind folks at the Santa Fe Animal Hospital at 505-820-2232.  And…

Those darn PACKRATS!

I wanted to share this information with everyone in case it might be helpful to someone.

We live on ten glorious acres down Highway 14. Nature here is at its best.

However, we had been having a problem with packrats digging holes right by our front door and also…

Bubba In The House!

Hello, we are looking for a foster home for Bubba, 14-month old, 72 lb pit bull who is a doll!  Neutered and up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped and heart worm negative. He passed all his behavior tests with an A++ .  He is very social and as a young dog, does not like to be alone for as long as he has to with my work schedule.  We would like to put him in a foster home where he can have access to a secure yard,…

Chablis: Missing Chutney

It is hard to wake-up in the morning and not find Chutney waiting for me. The house seems empty, but then I find some of her toys and feel better.

Even though I am Judith's service dog, I share my love between her and Philippe. That's easy!

Anyway, I am a very busy dog. I continue to be a "docent" at the Georgia O'Keeffe museum and also go to a lot of restaurants and movies. Although I weigh 57 pounds I can curl-up anywhere and make myself comfortable.

Yesterday, I…
