Animal welfare advocates are urging people to remember that hot cars and pets don’t mix.

Pits get special treatment at event

A new adoption event that features pit bulls aims to demystify the breed and find the often-overlooked dogs loving homes.

The first Pitchers, Pies & Pits will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Back Road Pizza, 1807 Second St., No 1, in Santa Fe. Talk focuses on canine therapy work

A program that brings animals to people for healing work and joy is the focus of a Saturday event at a Santa Fe pet store.

Spay/neuter deal targets puppies/kittens

They may be just babies, but kittens as young as 4 months and puppies as young as 5 months are old enough to get pregnant and have their first litter just two months later.

Talk centers on ancient ties between man, dog in Southwest U.S.

The relationship between man and dog in the Southwest during the pre-Columbian era is the topic of a free lecture Sunday at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture.
