Weekend Help Needed for COLFAX Rescue.

10 miles west of Springer - Colfax Rescue needs weekend help over the next 3-months STARTING THIS WEEKEND!

Abby Lynn was severely injured by a horse last week.  She is now home, but is confined to a wheel chair and will be unable to put any weight on her leg for 3-months minimum.  Abby has some rescue horses and 10-rescue dogs; 9-of which need a place to go. She also has her own dogs and a few cats.

Small and Young Male Chi-Mix Found off Airport Road Sunday



Small male chi-mix PUPPY found today off Airport road. Found under car, friend, brought dog to Dew Paws Rescue. Not sure of cross street, but near trailer community and restaurant (??). Still has puppy teeth. A little shy, sweet and very pretty. Tan with white ring around neck, white belly. Looks like a chi-doxi mix w/huge tulip ears. Did not have a collar on. Game Commission votes to end trapping ban

Rescue Worker Injured - Please Help!

Hello!

Abby Lynn, Colfax Animal Rescue, NM, had an incident with one of the horses and was injured. She will be in a no-weight bearing cast for the next 12-16 weeks with severe restrictions. There are currently 9 dogs in program that need to be taken in by others, (Moshe is taken care of).

Take Pity On Me!

Another abandoned elder cat with no estate planning or responsible family members. 17-year old will be "dumped" at animal control in 2-days if home, foster, or rescue is not found. TNR Kittens Need Socializing

Hello,

 

We supported a TNR (Trap spay/neuter Release) off of the south frontage road for a trailer park community.  We got 4-adult cats, last week, two females and two males - all done w/rabies shots and re-released now; going back for one-more male this week. 

We also got 5-minor kittens, still too small to be spayed or neutered and they are currently at my house in two play pens, being habitated by myself and another volunteer. HOWEVER, as I do work full time, part…

The very young woman on the other end of the number above has a pit bull female whose puppies have just all been sold, the dog is with the woman's sister, in Santa Fe...in the car...the sister can't have a pit bull where she lives...and she does not want to bring the dog to the shelter....oh, the dog is very thin.....

Operation HeadStart Volunteers Visit The Horse Shelter
