Pepper back at the Shelter

White dog near SF Opera

I thought I saw a small white dog on the southbound side of 84/285, near the opera. It was almost dark so I couldn't get a good look, but the animal was too large for a cat and I don't think there are any white coyotes (?). I thought I'd post in case anyone who lives in that area has lost their dog.

Volunteer Help and Equipment Needed!

We are trying to move 3 stand-alone kennels from Santa Fe to Abiquiu.  Two of them are wrapped in such a way that to take them apart would be more work than to just transport them as a unit.  The 3rd one can be taken apart to lie flat.  2 are in one location and 1 is in another, both on the…

Chablis: Working

One of the biggest jobs I have is accompanying Judith to the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum where she is a docent. It is kind-of my second home. Everyone knows me and I visit the wonderful people at the front desk, the nice ladies in the Shop and the Security Guards who all seem happy to see me. It is fun to meet so many visitors, but what I love most is the children. They ask to pat me and Judith asks them to count how many colors are in my coat. Then to find something pink. That's not so easy…

Claudia, I can not thank you enough. We are staying hopeful and not giving up. We are checking ALL shelters including rescues daily. We are heartbroken and miss her terribly. We found her collar and tags in the back yard, but don't know how she got out. Thank you kindly.

Owner lost home - dogs need foster care!

Please consider fostering these dogs, either together or separately. Both are sweet, mellow dogs that belong to a person who is currently in the shelter system. The dogs are being housed at Animal Humane in ABQ but they are not set up to keep dogs that belong to folks on a semi-permanent basis. There are no established programs (yet) in the ABQ-SF corridor to handle situations like this, and for now, we reach out to…
