GPS Collars for Dogs - ever wonder how much extra exercise they get?

When letting the dogs off leash at the dog park, I have often wondered how much extra exercise they get.  I put a GPS collar on my dog today and compared my track to her track.  I walked 1.6 miles and my dog went 2.7 miles.
