A Glorieta animal sanctuary is seeking funds to help rescue starving and abused puppies in Mexico.
Nancy Novak, a board member of the Heart and Soul Animal Sanctuary, said the nonprofit has created an online fundraising site to raise money to help animals in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Kindred Spirits hosts party
A Valentine’s Day party is set for Saturday at a Santa Fe are animal sanctuary.
Kindred Spirits, which cares for hospice dogs, horses and poultry, will offer dog smooching and kisses, plus a tour of the sanctuary, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The tour will take place around 2 p.m.

I was very impressed with Dr. Schrempp, oncology vet at VCA Hospital in ABQ (9901 Montgomery). When I took my 13 year old black lab in for liver cancer treatment in 2013 she sent me home with a 10 page document specific to my dog, lining out my dog's health history, spelling out everything, and a very thorough explanation including all the Rx of the 3 possible treatment paths.

Animal shelter focuses on overlooked dogs
A new program at the Santa Fe animal shelter highlights overlooked dogs and offers adoption incentives.

Some of you may remember Pepper - he's the dog who helped rally a community to rescue him when he spent more than six months roaming the arroyos and streets of Santa Fe. Thanks to Steve and Yvette Dobbie and their Pepper's Posse, Pepper was rescued and found a beautiful sanctuary in Northern California. At 8:45 this evening while turning onto RidgeTop Road I saw 2 dogs. I stopped and tried to coax them over but they were spooked. They ran off behind the Thornburg building.. One appeared to be a german shepherd black and brown markings. The other a bit larger, longer haired predominately black, brown and white.
