A Burger King commercial running now depicts a mailman walking down the street with two fake dogs hanging off him and sings, "Rottweilers and pit bulls — doing the mailman thing." It's meant to be funny but it reinforces a prejudice. The commercial adds to the pervasive media bias that all pit bulls and Rottweilers are dangerous. It could inadvertently fuel breed discriminatory legislation costing innocent dogs their lives.
