Rescued and in need of forever home

This sweet little black maybe 2 year old dog was rescued last Saturday from along side the road with a broken hind leg. He can walk some and they were on their way to the vet when we met them at the dog park. He is maybe 15 lbs and sweet, calm like a little Sadhu, he gets along fine with the other two dogs.…

Snake Sighting at the Dog Park

Today Monday around noon we came upon a very long yellowish, patterned snake on the lower trail that parallels the arroyo. It was lying across the trail and then had still plenty to body left to curl up in to. It did not seem to be bothered by our approach, or by my little Sumo-boy jumping right over it! No rattles, so I assume it was a benign Bullsnake. Still a shock to come upon a snake, I had assumed that it was too cold for them now?
