On Sat. I received a call from a rescuer in Las Cruces. The shelter had called him to let him know they had a 117 lb basset who couldn't walk. He had been picked up by animal control. For lack of any other name my friend named him Tank. I beleive that allowing a dog to get that overweight is animal abuse. So armed with pics I posted to some of my basset boards to express my outrage. I wasn't prepared for what happened next.
