Santa Fe Scoop

Hey all, it's me, Morgan, super service dog of Alice Lee and blogger for many years..... If you click on my photos you will see me. This is probably the last time I am writing here, although Alice created her own website (aliceroselee.com) and she has allowed me to blog there. I am no longer in my old man body. It was tough saying goodbye to my humans. I will miss them lots. For nine years I was Alice's service dog. Then she got me a new job as a certified pet therapy dog. I went to schools and nursing homes. I loved all the attention I got especially at the schools with all those little hands petting me. I loved people! Wayne said he had a dream about me last night where he said I hugged him.I will be cavorting in a meadow of wild flowers with other dog friends, waiting for their humans. We don't live long enough, but while we are on earth we give and give and give love and devotion unconditionally. Alice was my person. I took care of her and at the end of my life, she took care of me. Alice, I love you. See you on the other side.

Dear Morgan...we used to see you as you and Alice walked through our plaza (Plaza Rojo) and would sometimes have a wee chat...or a wave. I know you will enjoy being in doggie heaven...please give a sniff and a wag to our dear Tullikki as well as all our other many doggies (& a couple of cats, too)  Enjoy your after life...

PS:  After a beloved old dog belonging to a little 4 year old boy had to be put to sleep...the boy, who had been alowed to be with the dog until the end, was silent for a moment.  Then he said:  "People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice - but dogs already know how to do that, so  they don't have to stay as long."
