I AM ROXY

My name is Roxy. I am 15 years old. I have the great fortune of living at Ulla's place, Kindred Spirits. I have only been here 3 days but it already feels like home. I have never felt such LOVE as I have here. Everyone is so wonderful to me. I have gotten more hugs and kisses in the last 3 days than I ever gotten in my entire life.
I'd like to thank Lily for caring about me and Ulla for taking me in.
And I'd like to thank the many other people behind the scenes who had a part in giving me this peaceful place to live out the rest of my life. This is the beginning of my new life, filled with love and warmth.

I love sunbathing surrounded by people who love me.

It was amazing to see the transformation of Roxy. She had no more pain in her eyes, she was relaxed, she brought me to tears when Ulla brought her out. This is a dog that could barley walk, and now she does it with such ease, and for the first time her tail was wagging. Indeed, she had a smile on her face!!! Thank you so much Ulla, you are one of a kind!!

Thanks everybody for your kind words :) Bobbie and I spent several hours at the sanctuary..It is simply a bonafide miracle. I told Claudia this but in 3 days Ulla has shaved off several years of neglect of Roxy..her face is relaxed and serene..just being out of pain is a joy to see. The vet did come and check her out right away and she does have severe arthritis...the tumors on her chest are unknown at this time but the change just goes to show what a little love and kindness will do...I will be volunteering at Kindered Spirts and have obligated monthly consistent donations to Ulla and company as well.....just remarkable!!!! Yes, Julie I somehow got back quite tired today and slept...no more looking out my window during a snow or rain storm and being worried sick...she is safe and dang it I still get misty over this...:) 3 days!!! Incredible..

GREAT point, Julie! I took all of Rico's unused meds out there. Ulla is very knowledgable and it felt good that they would go to good use!

Kindred Spirits is a truly amazing sanctuary and hospice for dogs and some horses. They do have some dogs available for adoption but most are there for life and will live out the rest of their lives loved and cared for. When my dog died 3 years ago I contacted Ulla to see if she could use my dog's senior dog food and prescriptions, and certainly they could. The do such great work. Please keep them in mind if you have unneeded meds/food, etc. http://www.kindredspiritsnm.org/

Goodness, Lily, how this must have worn on you day in and day out. I hope you'll be sleeping better now knowing Roxy is warm, comfortable, and finally loved. Somehow it all came together in the nick of time. Sleep well, Lily!!!

Look how Ulla has her arms around those 2 dogs, I wish I could remember their names! The love just pours out of this picture, doesn't it?

Lily says Roxy is a totally changed dog! And she's only been at Ulla's for THREE DAYS!
