My friend of 30+ years, a horse, Kyrie, died last Monday, and was buried in Santa Rosa on the ranch of my human friends, the Shehans. I am grieving.

The picture was taken on the 15th ,my birthday when she fell the first time and we were able to get her back up, she stayed with us six more days. You can see how emaciated she 'd gotten. But she looks so sweet and at peace.

I just read the comments posted by Judy and Lisa. I thought I had stopped grieving but it brought tears.
Thank you for your kindness. Lyda

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Kyrie. She was a very fortunate horse to have someone who cared so much for her. You were able to give her a long and happy life.

It is so rough to lose a beloved horse companion. both my mares were over 30 when they left me. I still miss them. Know though that she's young, free, and has all the lovely grass she could ever desire and is waiting for you at the rainbow bridge.
