Santa Fe Scoop

Hi everyone!

Thank you for your diligence in keeping a look out for Pepper. As many of you know, he no longer has his leash but is still wearing his blue harness. We think he's been racing around the arroyo off West Alameda, onto Osage Street and running out to St. Mike's occasionally. He has been seen with canine buddies.

The latest sighting was from this morning (Feb. 6) off Agua Fria on Vuelta San Marcos. A woman has been feeding him and is trying to gain his trust. We are trying to pinpoint his territory so that we can catch him.

Steve and Yvette Dobbie, as well as many other meaningful people, are on the case. We think it's best if people try not to yell after him or chase him -- he is still very frightened and fearful. If you do see him, please call me at 603-8075. Thank you again for all those who have kept up the vigil for this wonderful dog who needs to regain trust. Ben

Saw him in the arroyo behind Smith's Grocery Store (St Michaels & Pacheco) this afternoon (2/19). I followed him to the corner of Pacheco and St Mikes where he went up into the parking lot at Pollon Plaza. I lost track of him up there.

My husband saw Pepper again last night (2/6) at the stop sign at Osage and San Ildefonso.  It was around 11pm.  He said that Pepper stopped and looked at him for about 5 seconds then took off.
