NEVER lose hope and MICROCHIP your beloved animals!

This just came to me from the Espanola Humane Society, I thought it was worth sharing:

A true happy ending! Cinnamon came into our shelter yesterday afternoon, skinny and scared. As we do with all incoming pets, we scanned her for a microchip and she had one, so we called the owners. Turns out this sweet girl had been missing for more than three months. They came over to get her right away and it was a very happy reunion. This was the only picture we could get of her staying still- she was so happy to see her dad that she was bouncing all over the place! Please have your pets microchipped and make sure that you keep the chip info current. We can chip cats and dogs for just $20 at the shelter during our low-cost vaccine clinic days.

I was so happy when Nina shared this with me, om. I am always astonished how many people still don't microchip! A collar and tag can be lost or purposely removed and discarded. The chip gives the animal a voice to say, THIS IS WHO I BELONG TO. Luckily, most shelters now automatically microchip EVERY animal before putting it up for adoption!
