Well our cute boy is doing well after his surgery yesterday. He's had his chin wired and the wires should come out in a month and a pin was put in his elbow because it kept popping out - the pin needs to stay in for 10 days. He's in pretty good spirits, tail wagging, good appetite and still a great patient. The Dr. says he's ready to go home.

Only problem is he doesn't have one. This is heartbreaking. I think this guy needs a home with a nice sized fenced yard or some space out of town where he can run. He also needs someone to care about him and be his companion. This is a really sweet boy! Please pass this on to anyone you know that may be interested. He's really worth it!

Check out his pics - sorry I didn't get him from the front....

Well it's some other great Pecos couple who help with dogs and have a dog from Bridging the Worlds - hopefully they'll contact me some day so I may return their bowl. I've never been able to catch the dog.

Sorry, that's was not us. We are out in Pecos. Thanks for the concern.

Are you by chance the folks I chatted with one Friday night at the corner of Old Pecos Trail & Coronado - trying to catch the b/w running at large HeelerX? Did you leave a collapsible water bowl?

One more note for those who can't take this dog into their home but might want to help . . . .

The vet Bill is approaching $3,000.00. I am on social security and any bit will help a lot.

I don't think we are saints, but we have been helping with the dog. I am adding a poster and a photo

Sorry it took so long to update, but because of Claudia and Stephen's precious Rico's passing, wasn't in a frame of mind to write.
So our little stray was released from the vet on Friday and is now staying at my neighbor's home. She was a partner in rescuing him, and is fostering him until we find him a good home. The first night at her home was a little difficult, but when she went to sleep on the couch near him, he calmed down. She and her husband are saints as they try and help all animals and humans alike and I am grateful that he's in their care for now. Will keep you posted......

I thought I could bring him home today but he had a little setback with his breathing, so the vet will keep him for a couple more days. He feels he's not quite out of the woods yet now. I am worried and hope we made the right decision at the start. I feel so sad that he's having to go thru all this. I will keep you posted as I learn more though I'll be on the move for the next 2 days. Thank you for caring.

Oh he is lovely...I pray that he finds a loving forever home. Poor guy. I know he will.
