Please help me make sure these dogs are okay.  For the past couple of months I have noticed a homeless man (brown coat) with a shepherd mix on a leash on Cerillios and the dog has been limping badly.  Today, I saw him again and now the dog cannot walk on that foot plus he had two other dogs on leashes that looked farily well kept.  These dogs cannot belong to this man.  I called 955-2700 to report suspected animal abuse; however, I had to wait until I was home as I didn't have my cell.  The gentlemen said I had to call as the homeless man is spotted and they will check.  Will you please keep an eye out for this man and especially the hurting dog.

Yes, he has been bringing his dogs to Petco for years and loves the animals. But I appreciate your concern for the dogs, Harriet!

Yeah, he's an interesting dude but A-Okay, stops by every Sat. to say "hi" when we are at Pet Co.

Thanks Joseph for letting us know that these dogs are okay.  I have been so worried about them.  One of the reason I felt this was not the proper owner in addition to the limping dog...is each time I see him he is crossing the highway with six lanes of traffic, dodging cars, and trying to keep the animals in the middle of the street with cars flying by on both sides.  So he does bring attention to himself.  Most dog owners would go to a crosswalk.  I must admit the limping dog tries hard to keep up in the middle of the traffic.  Perhaps you could suggest to the owner the attention he is bringing to himself by his actions.  Thanks for the feedback.

I think I have seen this man with this dog but I was concerned because the dog looked thirsty.  I would see him during the summer and I think they let him bring the dog in Smith's.  I can't say for sure if this is the same man and dog but I remember it being a shepherd mix also.

Please remove this post as it is completely wrong. I know this man.

The man is not homeless and will do anything for his dogs.

The German Shepard was maimed BEFORE he got the dog and he has all of them to the vet on a regular basis.
