Rabbit Information/Adoption Event Sunday, 1/13, 12-4pm @ Petsmart/Santa Fe

New Mexico House Rabbit Society is teaming up with the Santa Fe Shelter & Humane Society for a special adoption event featuring rabbits from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13. Adorable, spayed and neutered, litterbox-trained shelter rabbits - along with dogs and cats - will be available for viewing and adoption at the Santa Fe PetSmart, 3561 Zafarano Drive.

New Mexico House Rabbit Society volunteers will be on-hand to offer advice on proper diet, housing and care of house rabbits, as well as to explain common rabbit behavior. If you already have a rabbit, bring it to this event to receive a FREE nail trim, as well as teeth and scent gland check, courtesy of NMHRS.

Shelter rabbits attending the adoption event can be previewed online at www.sfhumanesociety.org, selecting "Other Critters" & clicking on the photo of the rabbit. Additional information on shelter rabbits can be obtained by calling 983-4309, ext. 610. More adoptable rabbits from New Mexico House Rabbit Society can be seen online at http://newmexicohrs.org. To be preapproved for adoption of NMHRS rabbits only, download the application at the website, fill it out and email it to bill@rabbit.org. For general information about house rabbits, please see www.rabbit.org or just come to the adoption event!
