Small Lost Dog Sited Near Kearny Elementary

I saw a small lost dog today in the Kearny Elementary neighborhood (Ave. de las Campanas).  It had reddish and white fur.  Could be a terrier mix.  It looked disheveled (had dirt on it) and anxious - has possibly been lost or abandoned for a while. I called animal control, but according to the shelter they didn't pick it up.  The shelter said they would have animal control continue to patrol that area.
